Technical visits
The Organizing Committee invites attendees of the Slope Stability Symposium to register and participate in technincal visitis happening on April 19th (Friday):
- Corrego do Feijão remediation areas and B1 failure zone with open pit mine visit
- Pico division iron ore operational open pit mines
- Vale's soil and mechanic rocks laboratory
- Cuiabá underground mine
Each visit has its own schedule requirements and fees, please see further information:
Corrego do Feijão remediation areas and B1 failure zone with open pit mine
- Duration of the Activity: 2 hours
- It is higly reccomended the use of long and thick pants/ trousers, long-sleeve shrits and closed, protective shoes.
- High heel shoes are not allowed.
Pico division iron ore operational open pit mines
- Duration of the Activity: 6 hours
- Reflective (high-visibility) vests and boots are required (not offered by the establishment).
- Recommended items: sunscreen, insect repellent and water bottle.
LGV Vale's Geotechnical Laboratory
- Duration of the Activity: 5h 30 minutes
- It is higly reccomended the use of long and thick pants/ trousers, long-sleeve shrits and closed, protective shoes.
Cuiabá underground mine
- Duration of the Activity: 5h
- It is higly reccomended the use of long and thick pants/ trousers, long-sleeve shrits and closed, protective shoes.

SHUTTLE: EVENT/ TECHNICAL VISIT / HOTEL
Shuttles will be available to all Technical Visits attendees upon proof of identification by wearing badges.
