Alex Duran is a Principal with Pells Sullivan Meynink, joining the firm in 1996.  Alex graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1982 with a Bachelor of Mining Engineering, with Honours and then completed a Master of Science, Engineering, in 1986. 

Alexn has worked on over 250 mining projects ranging from pre-feasibility studies, small scale operating mines and large scale open cuts.  Alex has carried out numerous studies for coal mining operations, including ongoing operation input for both dragline and truck and shovel mining.  Experience has been gained in operations with steep floor dips both within Australia and overseas.

In addition to all the states and mainland territories of Australia, Mr Duran has worked extensively overseas with major projects located in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Mexico, Colombia, Russia, Mongolia and New Zealand.
