Agronomist with a master's and PhD degree in Soil Science at Cornell University and Lavras Federal University/Brazil. He has published several scientific manuscripts. He is currently a Researcher at Vale Technological Institute in Brazil, focusing mainly on mine reclamation, soil quality index of waste piles and tailings ponds. He is a permanent professor in the postgraduate programs ate Vale Technological Institute and at the Federal Rural University of the Amazon
