Adriana Sanchez has 18 years of experience in hydrogeology. Geologist and Geology Engineer with first class honours (University of Oviedo, Spain) with a postgraduate in Hydrogeology (Polytechnic University of Catalunya, Spain), she started as a Geotechnical Engineer in Spain, and in 2012 moved to Chile to work in Hydrogeology and Geotech, first in consultancy, then in mining companies, as Codelco and BHP. Since 2016 he has been at BHP, as Senior Hydrogeologist and Superintendent of Geotech & Hydrogeology & Tailings in Minera Escondida, Practice Lead Hydrogeology for BHP Minerals Americas and currently Global Hydrogeological Principal Lead for the Technical Center of Excellence in BHP. Her mein focus is the technical stewardship for BHP Assets in hydrogeology and water management, with a strong relationship with other disciplines as geotech, tailings and environment. She is member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH).
