Brad Ross, Ph.D., PE, is an Advocate for the Global Mining Education Foundation and Co-Director of the Geotechnical Center of Excellence at the University of Arizona.  Brad also has six years of experience as a Professor of Practice in the Mining and Geological Engineering Department at the university and 35 years of experience in the mining industry.  He has authored a book called "Rise to the Occasion - Lessons from the Bingham Canyon Mine Manefay Slide" about the innovation, leadership, and teamwork that was needed to recover from the largest open pit landslide in history.
